Router

Routers are most commonly used at home and at work to connect a telephone line or cable to a computer so that it can access the internet. This connection is either via an Ethernet cable or WiFi set up.

Most broadband internet provides will supply you with a router in order to set up your internet connection.

If you use hardware such as a cordless phone without a PC or videophone you don't a computer you just need to connect to your router to make and receive Skype calls.
