What is a Skype Gift Card and where can I buy one?

A Skype Gift Card is a Skype prepaid card that you can use to share Skype Credit with your friends and family. Skype Gift Cards are available from the Skype shop and select offline retailers.

Skype Gift Cards are available online in denomination of $10 and $25. If you’d like to send a higher value gift to your loved ones, you can purchase multiple vouchers.

On the Skype shop, you’ll have the opportunity to customize your Skype Gift Card by selecting a design and adding a personal message for the recipient. Once you’ve made the payment, the card will be sent by email to the recipient who can then redeem it at www.skype.com/voucher/redeem

How can I purchase a Skype Gift Card?

You can buy Skype Gift Cards as a gift for friends and family from the Skype shop and select offline retailers. In each case, you’ll be making the actual purchase from one of our trusted merchant partners which generally accept common payment methods in countries around the world.

Can the purchase be cancelled and can I get a refund?

Please contact the merchant partner from whom you made your purchase regarding its specific cancellation policy.

 

What if the person to which I want to send a Skype Gift Card doesn’t have a Skype account, or the account they have is registered to a different email address?

Recipients of Skype Gift Cards will have an option to set up their own Skype account at the point of redemption (www.skype.com/voucher/redeem). The Skype Gift Card vouchers can be redeemed by a recipient with a different email address to that associated with their Skype account.

 

Can recipients share Skype Gift Cards with others?

Yes. As long as they haven’t been redeemed, Skype Gift Cards can be passed on to someone else (by either forwarding the email containing the Skype Gift Card or providing the unique code associated with it).

 

What do I do if a voucher does not work?

Please contact the merchant partner from whom you made your purchase.

 

When will my Skype Gift Card be sent to the recipient?

Our merchant partner will send the Gift Card within 48-hours of the delivery date you selected.

 

How many Gift Cards can I purchase?

The maximum number of Gift Cards that can be purchased and redeemed by a single user in any one calendar month is five.
